I’d like to welcome the first of a series of characters who’ve taken some time out of adventuring in books for an interview.
Sleepy Willow is in the building, reclining in my office chair….
Character name: Sleepy Willow
Celebrity/person lookalike: K.D. Aubert (model/actress)
Book featured in: ‘Sleepy Willow’s Bonded Soul: The Narcoleptic Vampire Series’
Age: 24
Profession: Necrophilia Specialist at the premiere fetish club Hades
Qualities: long thick black hair, hazel eyes (that glow red when I experience any strong emotion: anger, hunger, lust, fear), flawless caramel brown skin, enviable figure, supernatural abilities (strength, speed, senses), narcoleptic and undead.
Likes: blood, sex, performing at Hades.
Dislikes: Maximilian (my maistre vampire), being vulnerable.
1. What is your mission, or your dreams/ambitions in the book? To work with Dr. S. Floyd in finding a cure for narcolepsy. To feed from Hades patrons without getting caught since vampirism is illegal. To stay away from my egomaniacal maistre vampire as long as possible. To maintain self-control whenever I’m around that fine-ass, crazy-ass patron, Remi.
2. Which is your favourite scene in the book and why? When I discover Remi’s secret. He’s crazy all right, but knowing what his particular personality disorder is makes me feel even closer to him. We’re both misfits…who can help each other.
3. Which was the most challenging scene in the book and why? Being captured by “reinforcements” and going through their painful, sadistic torture was rough. But nothing was as bad as finding out someone I trusted had actually double-crossed me. It hurt all the way down to my undead soul.
4. After your experience in the book, how do you think you’ve grown as a person? I’ve grown in confidence and resources. It took going through hell and back, but I learned some very valuable information by the end of the book that makes going into the sequel highly anticipated. I know I will be stronger. I will be on a mission. I will be victorious.
5. Can you give us a quick overview of the book you feature in? Ever since vampirism became illegal, the undead have been hunted to near-extinction. So I have to watch my back to make sure no one finds out what I am. And that’s not easy considering I’m a vampire with narcolepsy. As a Necrophilia Specialist at premiere fetish club Hades, I’m drawn to Remi, my most loyal fan, despite his deviant sexual nature and personality disorder. But succumbing to my lust is not a good idea, especially since my powerful maistre vampire forbids it.
I have to outsmart extermination agents, escape bounty hunters, find a cure for narcolepsy, and break the bond with my maistre if I want to survive. And I have to stay awake long enough to do it all.
Sleepy Willow is the creation of author, Dicey Grenor. Growing up in a small North Carolina town gave her plenty of time to dream of Hollywood and vampires. She loved
escaping in a great movie or fiction book and discovered she wasn’t bad at writing it either. But she didn’t think that was going to pay the bills or that anyone would take her seriously. So she graduated high school, college and graduate school, then moved to Texas for law school. After getting married and having two babies, she decided it was past time to start doing what she was passionate about. No more excuses.
Now, she’s a happy wife, mother, attorney and published author.
Dicey will give away three (3) Kindle editions of Sleepy Willow’s Bonded Soul: The Narcoleptic Vampire Series to three (3) readers who provide their email address and explain what made them interested in her novel. Please visit http://diceygrenorbooks.com
You can purchase this on the Kindle for $0.99 and in paperback for $9.99 on Amazon.
